Whimsy, exploration, abstraction and play - these sum up my practice.
Art making on a full-time basis came later in life for me. I moved from pixels to pigments and now work mainly with acrylics. Living in these spectacular Rockies, influences my lifestyle and art.
Each piece is approached as a new adventure, a new exploration. I enjoy reaching beyond the tried and true. Basically, my process is a dance between intuition and careful consideration. I use semi-transparent layers and mark-making to create visual depth and interest.
In this hyper-visual world of ours, abstraction and semi-abstraction go beyond the literal and instead, invite the viewer to pause, imagine and dream.
